Dew Drops Pecan chocolate baklava is a delectable dessert that combines layers of crispy phyllo dough with a rich filling of DewDrops Pecan chocolate. Making it a delightful addition to any dessert spread or special occasion.
Ingredients:
1 package phyllo dough (16 oz), thawed
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups DewDrops Pecan chocolate, chopped
1 cup water
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
1- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2- In a bowl, add the chopped DewDrops Pecan chocolate.
3- Unroll the phyllo dough and cover it with a damp cloth to prevent it from drying out.
4- Place one sheet of phyllo dough in the prepared baking dish and brush it with melted butter. Repeat with about 7-8 more sheets, brushing each with butter.
5- Sprinkle a layer of chopped DewDrops Pecan chocolate evenly over the phyllo dough.
6- Add another layer of phyllo dough on top of the chopped DewDrops Pecan chocolate, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
7- Repeat the layers of chopped DewDrops Pecan chocolate and phyllo dough until all the chopped DewDrops Pecan chocolate is used, ending with a top layer of phyllo dough brushed with butter.
8- Using a sharp knife, cut the baklava into diamond or square shapes.
9- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
10-While the baklava is baking, combine the water, honey, and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
11- Once the baklava is done baking, immediately pour the hot honey syrup over it, making sure to cover the entire surface.
